Building Up Your Support System

In this week's lesson, we're going to focus on creating and building a supportive community around you. Be sure to print off your Workbook and then watch the video to understand the concept being shared.

Reflection Exercise

Do you currently have a good support system you can reply on? Belonging to our Healthy Habits Lab is an excellent first step in building a network of positive supports around you. Whenever you are in the process of positive change, its been statically proven that a support system is an essential pillar in achieving desired outcomes.

Each of us needs their own unique support system, tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. Your support system can offer a range of grounding supports that are crucial for achieving success in whatever goals you choose to pursue. These supports can take many forms, such as providing accountability to reach your goals, offering a healthy distraction from negative habits, exerting a positive influence, and creating a safe space for ongoing social and emotional support.

When setting goals, your support system should involve tapping into a network of positive people (or support tools) that can offer both practical and emotional support as you work towards your objectives. The type and structure of your support system will depend on your unique needs and preferences. However, regardless of the specific form it takes, a support system is a crucial factor in achieving any personal growth and development. By surrounding yourself with supportive people, you can enhance your chances of success and build a strong foundation for your goals.
